We believe you deserve a clear explanation of our business model before you make any decisions. Here it is.
CareBridge is completely free to families. We don't charge you any fees — at intake, during our search, or at placement. Instead, we receive a referral fee from the senior living community your family ultimately chooses to move into.
This is standard practice in the senior placement industry, and it is disclosed and regulated under Texas Senate Bill 1383, which went into effect September 2025. SB 1383 requires placement agencies to provide written disclosure of how they are compensated before making any referrals. We comply fully.
When a family we work with selects a community and a loved one moves in, the community pays CareBridge a placement fee. This fee is typically a percentage of the first month's rent or a flat fee — it varies by community and contract, but it is always paid by the community, never by the family.
Families do not pay us anything directly. There is no finder's fee, consultation fee, or hidden charge in the move-in cost. The community budgets our referral fee as part of its standard marketing and admissions cost — similar to what it pays for advertising or its own sales team.
The natural question: if communities pay us, do you recommend more expensive places to earn a bigger fee?
We don't — and here's why our incentives are actually well-aligned with yours:
Texas SB 1383 (effective September 1, 2025) is a consumer protection law specifically for senior placement agencies. It requires:
CareBridge operates in full compliance with SB 1383. If you have questions about our specific compensation arrangement with any community we recommend, ask us directly — we'll tell you.
